Welcome to The True Faith website dedicated to preserving the Holy Tradition(II Thess. 2:15) of the Apostolic Faith "which was once for all delivered to the saints"(Jude 3), and can only be found in the Orthodox Christian Church. The Orthodox Church was established in AD 33, by Jesus Christ when He sent the Holy Spirit down upon the Holy Apostles on the Day of Pentecost as recorded in Acts Ch. 2. The Orthodox Church can historically trace its beginnings to this day when the Apostles, the Church's first Bishops(Acts 1:20) layed hands upon Her first Deacons(Acts 6: 3-7), and those who succeeded them. ONLY the Orthodox Church has maintained the true "catholic"(meaning 'conciliar' or 'according to the whole') teaching of the ancient, undivided Church. And it is ONLY in HER, "the Bride of Christ" can the FULLNESS of the Faith be found. This website is just one among many resource centers for those who want to know the true teachings of early Christianity.May Our Lord God and Saviour Jesus Christ lead you into all truth. For questions regarding the TRUE FAITH WEBSITE please write to davidsanders@thetruefaith.org

ORTHODOX CHRISTIAN PRESENCE IN AMERICA

Whether the parish is Greek Orthodox, Russian Orthodox, Antiochian Orthodox, etc, they share the same faith and are all in communion with one another. The different national titles denote only the places where the various groups originated. When they migrated to America, they often settled in their own ethnic communities. Since the 1970's there have been many converts from Protestantism and Roman Catholicism. Most parishes now use English. Greeks and Antiochians use Byzantine style chant, the Russians and other Slavic traditions use a more "western" style chant. More info can be found below :
