ORTHODOX CHRISTIAN PRESENCE IN AMERICA 

Whether the parish is Greek Orthodox, Russian Orthodox, Antiochian Orthodox, etc, they share the same faith and are all in communion with one another. The different national titles denote only the places where the various groups originated. When they migrated to America, they often settled in their own ethnic communities. Since the 1970's there have been many converts from Protestantism and Roman Catholicism. Most parishes now use English. Greeks and Antiochians use Byzantine style chant, the Russians and other Slavic traditions use a more "western" style chant. More info can be found below :
